Excuse me, Bono doesnt sing it any better than Marc Bolan..No one can sing this song like Marc..This song needs this special sexyness and raunchyness that Marc had, Bono isnt anywhere near..He made a mess of a fucking great song(excuse my language!!)

Meh. Works a lot better in the movie with the layering of the sound of music. This version has a lot less energy. Oh well.

WeilderOfWords, you said it! Why you’ve gotten so many ‘poor comments’ is beyond me, except that theres a whole generation out there right now who’ve grown up with a manufactured entertainment industry with absolutely no imagination or taste… that’s why they’re stealing EVERY song, fashion trend, etc from the the past forty years, case in point.. EMO boys, google Donny Osmond circa 1973 to see where your haircuts came from.

    the original is definitely better

This song is *by* MARC BOLAN. Lets get some recognition for his work!

    yup t-rex

Wonderfully addictive melody! The original, by T-REX is great, but highly repetitive. Baz Luhrman and the rest of the Moulin Rouge team did an amazing job remixing all of the songs!
